Employer: PenntecQ Inc.
Department: N/A
Job Title: Tool & Die Maintenance Technician
High School: Beaver Area Senior High School

Post-secondary schooling/education to prepare for my career: New Castle School Of Trades, Associates degree in Machining Technology

What the job title means: Repair, maintain all stamping, and molding dies as well as changing tooling when required.

Brief Bio: I started out as the normal high school student, wanting to go to college and get a degree. As I reached my senior year of high school I decided to start looking for what I would do after graduation.  I had been working for my father as a molder in his shop since I was in tenth grade. Then he gave me the opportunity to make some small parts here and there on his machining equipment. I took him up on his offer and started machining parts. As my senior year came to an end, I still wasn’t sure about what I wanted to do. I did know, however, that I had always been one to enjoy working with my hands.  I loved machining.  It caught my eye from the beginning so I took it farther and found a school where I could further my machining education. I finished my two year degree and before I even graduated New Castle School of Trades, a shop offered me a job. I’m glad I chose the career field that I did.  I do what I love and the skills I have learned working in the field grow every day.
